MARIE! MARIE! From her VOODOO MUSEUM in Creole New Orleans she tiptoed down the crooked paths of time to reappear as a painting in doarte’s ODDATORIA … hung of course in the Gallery of Doom. Whispers suggest she is a witch … this is MADAME LAVEAU … this is QUEEN MARIE. Gossips say the 18th Century wonder woman bore 15 children for her beloved beau. Believers in the BLACK ARTS insist you can still feel her presence in the ancient French Quarter building … 724 Dumain Street. But there are things you may not see down there … things you may not hear down there … midnight things we’ve encountered here: a woman’s plaintive cries, a figure slipping from a picture to steal from shadow to shadow until the dawn stirs Earth from slumber. So if by chance you forget to turn this computer image off before you fall asleep … don’t be alarmed or think you’re dreaming if you hear a stranger’s voice. It could be Marie Laveau with words meant just for you. Between Bourbon and Royal Streets in the French Quarter, been there what a great museum. VooDoo is part of the lore and lure of New Orleans they go hand in hand, I love that City. Awesome work Doc Peace
