I have been into photography for over 40 years, and the pull doesnt lessen. As a family we have always been keen walkers, and that gets you to some interesting places.Ive recently been to Southern India as a member of an adult support team with our local community school to Chennai so the camera never cooled down i can tell you, (watch this space). I live in Chard South Somerset, and have fairly recently converted to digital, at first reluctantly, but now enthusiastically. Its great to hear others comments on your pictures and i am looking forward to loading up my space. Alan. Almost through my first week and inspiration levels have rocketed, thanks for all those comments they drive me on.

Wolfenshire Online Now!
Wonderful capture. Could you just image what it was like when the artist made that. I wonder how many people it took

Astonishing! Superbly clever but very vulgar! I do enjoy this period of art, though.

Wow, talk about ostentation! But so much detail to look at. Some of it looks like dinnerware, as in plates, tea pots etc...no offense meant to anyone. Just something that came to my mind.

Fantastic how you show us all the details and colors so well in your photo, Alan. We often went into churches in Germany, they have a lot of great-big, and wonderful ones to admire there, I know.

You know, its really a shame how plain these old churches are, don't you think? {;-> A superb image under what I imagine are less than ideal lighting conditions.

This has to be the poster child for ostentation gone amuck, and I cannot understand why Catholics allow their church to squander money so blatently and of course this is visible everywhere.

I'm not a big fan of gold leaf and scads of cherubs. It is wonderful craftsmanship though. Beautiful capture. Excellent detail and lighting. I like the patterns on the pillars.
