Description
Alan (Katraz) and his wife Dorothy visited me yesterday and we had a lovely time.
It was officially the last day of summer and the 'season' officially ends next Saturday when the lifeguards leave.
When we had a brief Indian Summer last year the council had to get a few back to keep the visitrs safe!

I see his 70-200? on a black rapid sling. I have that setup on the 40D and it whacks around and bruises my thigh. I am leaning toward the more trad strap I have on the 1 series. In essence the idea is a good one, but for smaller lenses INHO no good for anything over say 135mm I am fascinated that the wet sand looks so smooth, as though there are no foot prints. Excellent shot.

Three smiling faces! Fritz does look well pleased with himself. It's such fun to meet renderosity people. Very nice capture! It was very steamy here today. The high temperature was 93F (33.9 C) and the humidity 91 %. In about a week, I head for Virginia, which is cooler then SouthTexas. I'm hoping by the time I get back we will be done with 90s here until the spring.
