Description

Every night we have raccoons that come to the squirrel/bird feeders for dinner. I know a lot of people consider them to be pests but we don't mind them coming for dinner, they have to eat too. :) We also have flying squirrels that come at night (when the raccoons aren't around), but they're way too fast for me, and barely bigger than a hamster. I've yet to get a photo of one.

I suppose they can be a real pest but since they do not bother me I rather like them. Saw a whole family of them out for the evening in Vancouver last week.

Just super photo sweetheart. I guess they're a little like Badgers in the UK which are part of the woodland but people encroach and then leave food waste where it can be got at by the Badgers and then they complain. Just not fair. Love and hugs, Janet

They're cute, but can be pests also - one did some damage to my garage a couple of years back trying to claw his way in. We tried to trap him in a live trap, but captured two foxes (who we released, of course) instead. Nice shot, but I actually liked the close crop in your thumbnail even better...

Wonderful capture! Not only it is a sup'erb subject, but you have a perfect photo here! We haven't raccoons in Italy, and I'd really prefer that our pests could be like this one!
