Description
Taken outside of Steamboat Springs this past Saturday, September 21st. Had snow in the mountains above 14,000 feet over the weekend. Skiers are glad to see the snow because ski season will soon be here.

Mount Zirkle is the highest mountain near Steamboat and it is a little over 12,000 ft. 12,181 to be exact and it usually does get a dusting or two by now!

I heard we had snow in some of our passes down to 5,000 feet today; it feels cold here tonight, my hands are icy. What a beautiful scenic capture, full of tons of evergreen detail. Well done!
