Description
This is me serving in Belfast, Northern Ireland 1979.
At the time I was 19, and Sooooo young.
I sometimes shudder when I think I was doing this at that Age.
Lots of memories, some good, most bad.

This brings back memories of the stories we read here in the States. Most of us couldn't quite understand what the fight was about. More to it, I know, but the sense was white Christians fighting white Christians. We had a comedian named Gallagher who used to do silly things like smashing watermelons with a sledgehammer. But he did say one thing that made me think. "In the absence of any real differences people will make shit up." Glad to know you made it through. I definitely prefer your current activities.
