Description
A fig from our young fig tree, which we planted about a year & a half ago. No edible fruit yet - I've read that it can take several years before that happens...

Ah, this reminds me of my youth; when I was much much younger I used to roam the alleyways in Belmont Shore, Long Beach, CA, picking fruit from overhanging trees; lots of figs, nectarines, and of course avocados, lemons and oranges. Everyone always had more than they could possibly use. Halcyon days indeed! Beautiful capture of your nearly-grow-up fig!

That looks surreal. My neighbor wants a figless fig tree. She says they are mentioned in the Bible, but I have not heard of it.
