Taken on a walk through Skipwith Common, North Yorkshire.
I liked the play of light and shadow, and NO they certainly weren't lost :)

Yes, it is a fine image. Some old Birch and Beech and just look at that amazing bark on the front left one. Feed me images of trees anytime. Actually I thought it was Hansel and Gretel:-)

The feel of an Autumn canopy - while Spring is on our agenda, here in the Southern Hemisphere, I love the mossy-green bark, particularly the one on the left - like Crocodile armour ... (plenty of them here in the Northern Territory of Queensland) - YIKES! BB
