Description
A spin off from the previous image. Often, Native Americans would "adopt" settlers' children if their parents had been killed. Some tribes treated them harshly and other tribes would incorporate them into the tribe as family members. Hawk, was adopted by the tribe and so named because of his affinity for these birds.

Nicely done! There are many tales of captives and their treatment by Native Americans. It's sad that nothing about the original inhabitants of this country is taught (at least not honestly) in most schools.
