Description

Early 1949..Two Spitfires formate over RAF Northholt for a one on one tactical session.... Totally fictitious of course..but there is about a one month window in reality where these two ships could have got together as shown.. but in my reality it is a convenient way to display two of my favourite schemes for the Spitifre LFXVIe. RW396 F o JWL of the RAF Central Gunnery School, and SL721 J o MR then personal mount of Air Marshall Sir James Robb AOC RAF Flying Training Command). (SL721 exists today in Canada as part of the Vintage Wings of Canada Collection in Ottowa) (RW396 should be Silver.. but comes out whitish in poser... my bad..) None of this would of course be possible if it were not for the generosity of Pedro Caparros in firstly making this spectacular model, and secondly making freely available so people like me can relive our childhood! Thank you Pedro!! Spitfire LF XVIe by Pedro Capparros over at Share CG.. Retextures by yours truely... Background courtesy some photoshop brushes.

Fantastic work Martin, It's like a postwar victory flyby. I shouldn't worry too much about the silver, it can be a bugger to get right. Excellent mate :)
