Dark alley, patter of little feet. Who's the tough girl now?
In honor of Halloween, I thought I'd do some renders of things I'm basically afraid of....one being rats....Ewwwww!

This is really nice work.

Nice job with the creepy atmosphere. You managed to light up the critters without messing up the basic night scene - well done!

I have a fear of rats myself, not truly a fear, but revulsion... they make my skin crawl, even the so called tame ones. Excellent dark image my friend, good to step out of the old comfort zone sometimes, isn't it?

a TV show right? never saw it...really nice work on the lighting for this scene--i find nighttime lighting nearly impossible to carry off...next time she finds herself in a rat-filled alley, she better have some cheese on hand :D as for rats: i guess i am in the minority, but rats never bothered me--good thing too, since NYC certainly has its share, though Queens (where i live) has the lowest rat population of the five boroughs..they really are quite smart and very much like humans in their behavior and even physical makeup (that's why they are used in scientific studies)...and one must remember, that the filth they live in is not their filth--it is human filth...an archaeological tidbit: the first rat bones in the archaeological record were found in China--rats are actually a human followers and their species are considered a human artefact...OK, lesson over :)
