Description

It started off just like any other day--sun shining, folks getting out of bed, having their breakfasts and then going about their business. Then all of the sudden the earth shook and the sky turned green. At first people thought it was an earthquake, until they looked up into the greenish sky: There appeared to be a large crack developing. Then, in the blink of an eye, things starts to fall out of that crack: shoes, balls, desks, all sorts of odds and ends, large and small. And it was then and there that this half human and half bird creature appeared, landing among some of the terrified villagers. It was frightened and in shock, but it was mighty feisty; it took a small army of men to restrain the creature. During the struggle some of the men sustained nasty cuts and scratches from the creature's claws.--the victims of these wounds soon died since the claws contained some sort of venom. The town was nearing panic. Once the creature was subdued with a tranquilizer gun's payload and carefully netted, the town folk placed it in the large cage located in the basement of the abandoned fertilizer factory located on the outskirts of the town. Here we see the confused and angry creature, which some have identified as a Harpy. With panic growing by the hour, no one knew what to do next, so a town hall meeting was scheduled for 3PM to discuss various options. But, as we know, sometimes plans don't always go as planned. Someone forgot to close and lock the cage's door! Thanks for dropping by...hope you enjoyed your visit....For your viewing pleasure, please give this one a ZOOM :) (This harpy figure has been sitting in my runtime since 2008. This is the first time I have used it! I really do need therapy.).

Superb lighting Barb... this scene is scary. It has the effect of drawing you into her eyes and flooding the image with colors that make you feel the heat of that stare. Splendid!!!!!!

I'm picturing her loose at the town meeting....cool story and what an amazing character. She looks like she could rip some throats out for sure. Love the subdued lighting...makes it even spookier.

Very cool. It reminds me of a day about 30 years ago when we had a small earthquake here in Michigan. I had no idea what was going on. Everything was shaking. No bird people, though.
