Description

Caught this fellow doing what looks like a little self contemplation in the reflected surface of the water. (or maybe he just spotted a little fish...) Thanks for looking and your comments.

A lovely image. Is it anywhere along the I&M Canal perchance?

No Bill, this was taken on Hickory Creek, which runs through Pilcher Park near Joliet. While it isn't too far, where I snappied this shot is maybe 5-6 miles from the I&M, it runs perpendicular to the canal. I've scared off several herons while snapping away along this creek, but they keep coming back, so so do I!
