Description
My fractal muse is resting, so I'd like to share with you a moment of a very special holiday with Alex - you could not call it a holiday really - more an assault on the senses. It was June 2006 and we more or less started at Kilmarnock, ferried to the Isle of Arran, crossed back over to the mainland and drifted up the coast as far as Kinlochbervie before we had to return home to work. I could show you photographs of the majestic mountains, deep valleys and spectacular skies but this one has a special place in my heart. Badly photographed I know but that's me....I am a "snapper"...the memories stay forever:-)

I do understand what you mean! I also love bad images because of the memory, thoughts and adventures at some places! Here you are not king of the road BUT the SHEEP are! ;o)

...the memories stay forever...absolutely agree, the camera can capture a visual moment and in the right hands can even become great art but it's the Mind that actually captures the whole thing. The smells, sounds, the Feeling, those last forever, well at least as long as your mind stays intact, that can't be captured on Film or a Flash Memory Card. Peace

Such landscapes and sheep on the road, reminds me landscape of the Polish Tatra mountains. Beautiful photo.

It's lovely Jenni, and memories are so precious, I love the sheep crossing the road it a lot like the North Yorkshire Moors in that respect, sounds like a lovely trip :) nice shot :)

When I was fit enough to do serious fell walking I still felt vastly inferior to the sheep that lived there! They where to be seen on every ledge of the highest peaks, quietly munching. Some you would think must have been lowered into place by a helicopter wince! Memories are attached to the strangest of things that can be buried until an obscure trigger sets it racing. The special people in your life have thousands of triggers in your mind some that fire everyday.

This is a lovely scene made more so because it brings back pleasant memories. The composition is excellent, from dark to light and, moving left to right, from up to down. I hope it brings you comfort, Jenny.

Love seeing images of Scotland. Would love to visit the Highlands some day to see where some of my ancestors came from. Would love to see the ever illusive Wildcat too. Beautiful scenic photo!

At first site, by seeing the thumbnail, I fell in love with this lovely photo, by the mood, the sheep, and the amazing mountains on the distant. What a beautiful and lovely atmosphere this must have been, being in this landscape, watching all those sheep, and more, Jenny. To be true, I would love to see more from your trips to Scotland, (please)! I can really imagine you have great memories, being there with your beloved husband, Alex.
