Thanks all ..WestCat 3ds Max with Mental Ray, For lighting I use HDRI for Global illumination and area lights above and to the side for fill..spot light through the glass for sun effect..realism can be dependent on materials used and how they interact with light ...hense the variability...Its the same setup I typically use on most renders although bounce, light intensity and GI settings can be varied for different effects...thanks for the interest.
