Description

Discarded books on the side of the road in Port-au-Prince. Most, if not all of these will wind up in a fire pit for cooking or lighting the way at night in one of the (too) many refugee camps.

Very sad. This assignment was overwhelming in some aspects. Now comes the task of scrubbing through all the footage for the documentary. The main goal is to raise awareness of adoption fraud/baby trafficking that's happening there. These kids and their biological parents are being exploited by certain unethical persons operating there. The conditions in which they live make them prime targets for this kind of thing. The good news (if there is any good news) is we've exposed one person in particular, making it next to impossible for them to continue their "business" there.
