Description

From my old graphic novel in which the first human explorers land on Alpha Centauri "A" planet number 1 if I remember correctly. Its been so long since I wrote the book. This planet is Earth like albiet a much harsher climate of extreme cold or hot depending on ones location. Alpha Centauri is a triple star system. Two of which are separated by a distance similar to that between the Sun and Saturn or Uranus. The two main stars are roughly sunlike so one would be predominant in the skies of a planet, 1 astronomical unit distant. Proxima Centauri is the thrid star in the system and too distant to be seen from this world without at least binoculars. This scene reflects my vision of an interstellar mission landing party which is comprised of a lander and several unmanned support craft. All of which are actually in "Gravitronic suspension" rather than resting on landing legs. Even the small, crew deployment vehicles (Green, with open hatch) are in gravitronic suspension. Such is future tech. This is a vision of the first human explorers to breath alien air.
