Description
Archie Goodwin and Walt Simonson's Manhunter had the most humble of status at DC. Never had it's own title, ran as an 8 page backup in one of Batman's several titles (Detective) for 6 episodes before concluding in a full length Batman teamup story. It ran for 7 chapters between '73 and '74 and yet managed to pull in 6 major awards in that time. It certainly fueled my youthful enthusiasm when I'd first read it. Simonson's art was unlike anyone I'd seen doing superheroes at that time, stylish and brilliantly laid out too and Goodwin's script also seemed better than anything DC or Marvel had going at the time.
It's a tribute I'd wanted to do for a while... just had to figure out dynamic cloth first!
So here he is, facing off against an army of his clones once again.
Stonemason's Village Courtyard
Daz Supersuit
M4 Hardcore Boots
Genesis Journeyer Scout Boots
Rievel Hair
Firearm Pack
I can't remember exactly where I found the Mauser pistol... it was a freebie in sketchup format.
Bracers, belts, leg braces, shuriken made in Hexagon.
Shirt sleeves made in Hexagon, converted to dynamic cloth in Poser then exported back to Daz.

This is a really good composition. The light blue really stands out against the background, preventing this from becoming a muddled mess. I would suggest changing the expression on the guy in the foreground to one of more exaggerated pain. And maybe a little motion line or blur to the throwing star? Just a few touches would add some zest to this great composition.

Thanks! Another one I think I just got worn out on . This was my first attempt at making dynamic clothes (sleeves only) and I wasted much effort fumbling around while figuring it out. Another one to come back to. :-) Very good advice! Thanks!
