Description
A few weeks back both my daughter and I had a horrible cough that would NOT end..... She could not sleep at night or day so after 3 weeks of misery I took her to our local hospital's emergency room. Waited and waited for a total of close to three hours for them to deliver a diagnosis of bronchitis......The prescription was close to $70 bucks and the hospital bill I just received today was an unbelievable effing $669.00 for BRONCHITIS!!!! GRRRRRRRRR and I think the American health care system is sooooooooo out of whack....
End of rant...... and just like the colors and shadows of the medical equipment...... Oh and by the way I recovered a few days later by drinking lots of orange juice and reasonable rest... Never again.....

This is interesting Cynthia. An outstanding capture. Wonderfully written. My son just paid out $2200 in all for hospital at one day. All the Drs. separate amounts. You are right, it is sad. Hope all is well now. The lighting is perfect. Really farout image. Huggs... Silkylady...

In Canada we have health care which is designed towards caring for people's health. In the US they have health insurance which is designed to provide a profit for the insurance business and the primary motive is not the health of people. Big difference! Had we not been given Tommy Douglas at the time he came, we probably would have wound up with the same system as in the US, and I for one would certainly be dead. The US is well passed the time when they could have created a similar system as in Canada. Now the insurance industry in the US is so large and there is so much money at stake they can never get rid of health insurance and replace it with health care because the money reaches too far into the political system. I was simply fortunate to have been born here in Canada.
