Description

Continues from previous post:- The blast from Earth hurtled the station for thousands of kilometres before it began to slow. Fortunately some of the life support systems were still operating. However, the station was not equipped with a propulsion unit and the exterior homing beacon had failed. Two of the crew were selected to carry out the repair task, even though they were unsure if anyone was still alive on Earth to receive their signal. While busy with the repairs the ship passed briefly through a pinkish cloud. No one thought it to be a danger but the cloud contained minute parasites that stuck to their suits. Once back inside the ship and helmets were removed, the parasites became airborne, which permitted them to be ingested. From that moment the crew were doomed as the parasites first attacked the hosts brains to immobilize them then gradually devoured their flesh and clothing from the inside.......
