Description

These plants appeared in my garden after sprouting from a packet of Thompson and Morgan seeds labelled as something quite different! They are an alien invader but very pretty. I have to take drastic measures every season to keep them in check, as they could take over. The plants are very large and vigorous. read all about it here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicandra I have posted a pic of before the skeleton is exposed by molluscs Here

Delightful shot! I thought once the slugs have made a hole they would head for the fruit, but its in a wire cage ingenious!

Nicandra Seedhead. Sounds like a Hippy girl I once knew. Alan has a point, a skeletal seed head just in time for Halloween. It is a beautiful skeleton with such delicate lace and a superb capture.
