Description

The summer has departed, and the transition to fall is now well under way. It is an odd sort of fall this year too. By now I mostly expected most of the leaves to be gone, yet they are lingering long on the trees this year. A few trees are bare though, while others are still mostly green with smatterings of yellow, orange, and red. The daylight is rapidly growing shorter, the nights cooler. The warm sunshine of summer is being replaced by grey skies and dampening rain. Yet, all the while this transition takes place, it is the most beautiful time of the year, and the most dreary. It's beautiful because there is such an array of colors brilliantly painted for us to see; and some relief from the humid summer comes upon us. All the while we are mindful that this too will pass and gradually become replaced by the greyer skies, colder weather, barren trees, and eventually a blanket of snow. I so look forward to this time of year, yet it passes so quickly as the endless winter too rapidly follows. Thanks for viewing, hope you're enjoying a peaceful weekend.

Enamored of this image of a woman I would love to date, even at my very advanced age. As for the weather, luck you. Although the days are shorter now, it's still very sunny with temps in the mid eighties here. Our summers last an easy eight months here.
