Description

When the kids stay with us, Ray puts them to bed with a song – or three. Now Caitlin has started requesting a bedtime song when she is at home. Rachel calls us as she puts Caitlin in bed and Ray sings to her over the phone. Number one on the Poppaw Hit Parade: Gordon Lightfoot’s “Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” (the Boat song). Tying for second are “You Are My Sunshine” and Jimmy Dean’s “Big John”. Our offspring have very different ideas of what a bedtime song should be than most children. Didn’t fall far from the tree did they. Ray is my morph with lkilerich's Simon texture. Jai hair, Sally Mae hair, and val Phone are DAZ products. Really sweet. I remember the "boat" song when I was a kid too and always had a liking for it. I actually heard it on a satellite radio station (Deep Tracks on Sirius) not that long ago. It had been many years since hearing it. Nostalgia.
