Description


One of the more unusual cars in Reno's National Automobile Museum. This is the 1937 Airomobile. It was designed and built to be sold as a "peoples car", like the Volkswagen. This prototype was driven 45,000 miles around the USA to stir up interest of potential buyers and investors. Two things spelled doom for this well engineered, unusual three wheeler...investors never came and the onset of World War II changed priorities for everybody.

Looks stunning. I've always liked these 'Future cars' and also the 'Dream Cars' the big three used to produce.
