Once upon a time lived a quiet tiger in a foreign land let's call TarKosE. Here he taught the local children how to growl and move in the right way to communicate with tigers from his land. It was a good way of living he told himself. In the evenings, claws out he'd carve or burn wood scenes to remind himself of those meet. Longing amidst this was the need for a companion. One day whilst wandering through the jungle, he encountered a human woman from another foreign land. She seemed sweet and so tiger allowed her to climb onto his back. They talked, all was good until she insulted tiger's grandmother's family, but the cat let this slide, as the woman must be ignorant of that tribes numerous achievements. Also, the cat felt he might love this person of another species. The next few meetings went well until the woman was invited to dance with the local villagers. She had let on she wanted to, however, she made all kinds of excuses at the final moment, not to dance that did not ring as truthful, tiger let this slide. He wanted to know if this was the true side of her, a quitter and looked to join her at a musical gathering of foreign human tribes. Tribal tiger advice was not to go, the village was suppose to be full and so tiger went to get wisdom from a far off mountain. The woman was not amused, tiger told her the truth, she kicked and interrogated as she did not like the truth, a lie was the only thing that would calm her. Foolish woman did not realize, it is best to not kick a tiger, as a tiger remembers every kick. The time tiger met the woman, she brought along a TarKosEian and spent most of the time talking to that person, she discreetly kicked the tiger again and smiled. She was under the illusion that she could kick the tiger anytime. Tigers are not rugs, if they breath, so don't be rude. After the meeting, the TarKosEian talked to the tiger and promised to invite tiger to future events involving the woman. Tiger hoped for the best, but jn his heart knew the TarKosEian was lying and was without honour. This was the kind that the woman liked, it made the tiger sad. When the tiger and the woman met again, she was tired, the TarKosEian had worn her out, but she was fine with that and kicked the tiger again. Tigers are not important she declared, all know that humans are better and smarter than these big cats, especially the old cats. Tiger explained to her that the kicks were hurting and hoped that she would change, to show compassion, empathy, no more kicks. Tiger thought the woman had agreed, but she had not and had no intention of being considerate, sensitive and kind. She had merely accepted that tiger would work on being better to the TarKosEian. Some 2d thinking people negotiate and win, some do not and lose, this woman was the latter. A fool remains a fool. Tiger planned a big three day feast, all was well until the woman invited the TarKosEian, the final kick. This was too much, the tiger felt he'd need to hunt more for food, the woman would with the TarKosEian be rude, tired and treat the poor cat to more kicks. Tiger mauled the woman, as the breaking point had finally been reached. No longer were tiger and the woman friends, the woman had made sure of that by her actions and words. Tiger cried for months afterwards, but knew in his heart he'd done the right thing, it is better to be alone than to be abused by companionship. This artwork besides the inspired woodcarvings are all that remains of the woman who returned to Europe, scarred but alive. The tiger will not see the woman again, tiger is not voss, hoss or loss, tiger is his own boss.
