Description
Another inhabitant of my little jungle. After much observation and reflection, I think this might be some kind of caterpillar, or the larval stage of some other insect, but I’m not sure. I think the head is the unadorned end, but I’m not sure. The only thing I’m sure of is that the strange structure at the other end is a defensive mechanism. When it is disturbed, the structure folds over the soft body, presenting a thorny aspect to any predators.

Possibly. The body looks like one, but I haven't been able to find an image of one with this overly elaborate decoration.
