Description

Greetings everyone. So sorry that I've not been around but I've been busy either at work or studying for my certification exam - which was this last weekend. And I passed! GIAC certification is no trivial exercise let me tell you. I've been studying every night these last two months. And I needed every second of it as well as every available tick on the exam clock to succeed. I am still feeling mentally drained by the whole experience. I guess my head just wants to have a holiday and watch some TV or play 'Vampire, the Masquerade: Bloodlines'. I love Mr. Ox, "Do you know when the next eye harvest is?" One of the few computer games that I really enjoy, they should all be like that one. By the way. What sort of a certification organization asks one to please leave your guns at home before coming to the testing centre? Is it run in Texas by Canadians? There's a Ted Cruz joke in there somewhere. Incidentally, if he doesn't make it as President of the U.S., he's still eligible to be Prime Minister of Canada - gulp! So, the leaves are falling off the local trees. It was a really long summer with daytime temperatures falling below 10C only this past week. Grass is still growing in many places, imagine mowing a lawn in November. Or should I say Mow-vember! It's as absurd as watching the Stanley Cup playoffs in Ju- er, never mind. I took this shot last Halloween. We were going for a happy, smiley Jack-O-Lantern then. And there is nothing better for a happy Jack-O-Lantern than an aroma therapy candle - extra flamey. Every so often a spark or two would fly out of its mouth which looked very magical. We also have an automatic owl, originally designed to frighten squirrels with its hooting calls, it now greets 'trick or treaters' as they approach the door. Very atmospheric and very popular with the toddlers. Anyways, I need some more TV so I'm going to put on my DVD of 'The Masque Of Mandragora'. Another great period adventure from the Tom Baker era of Doctor Who. Part Three alone sports perhaps the best cliffhanger of the classic series and one of the finest moments of comeuppance in all of TV history. And somehow the whole atmosphere is very apt for the season. Even if there isn't a single Jack-O-Lantern to be seen.
Let's just say Hieronymous gave him a blank look.

Congratulations, Clayton, on passing your certification examine...i know how you feel after all that studying and brain-drain feeling...do like your scene--it's a great photo! also please get ready to send some of that snow down my way this winter--was pretty skimpy last winter... as far as Cruz is concerned, please take him, ASAP! he certainly is another McCarthy...dangerous, self-serving, autocratic, nasty.......
