Welcome to Hillville's annual Nadine Roberts Memorial Run for Breast Cancer Research! The event is organized by Miss Strong, Didi, Kelly, and Claire. In addition to the race, they are also raffling off a Panini press. *wink* This year's run was well attended. Here are a few scenes featuring our "friends." 1. It's a chilly morning before the race begins. Autumn is taking selfies as usual. She's trying to get a shot with her "second mom," Didi, who is currently a little too busy for such things. Shouldn't you be stretching out, Autumn? 2. The race is underway! At around the 3 km mark, some race fans have gathered to cheer on their favorite runners. In the lead are Claire and Miss Strong, who is the only "senior citizen" in the top half, and the only one of any age running in high heels. She is doing this as a lesson in tenacity for her young apprentice. Since these two are the organizers, they can't actually win the race, so they will stop short of the finish line and wait until at least three others have passed. 3. Naomi and Autumn are making pretty good time. Unfortunately, for all her savvy, Autumn has made one major error: she believes she is running a 5k. It's actually a 10k. 4. Next to pass by are committed non-athletes Cholanda and Robin. They will be able to finish the race - eventually - but may not be able to stand up tomorrow. 5. Falling behind, we have Fawn, who smokes too much, I mean, wants to give the guys a little extra time to check her out. As usual, they're ignoring her completely. Audrey actually gets plenty of exercise but literally NEVER runs, and you can imagine why. She is power walking instead. She will eventually let Fawn have the "last impression" all to herself. 6. And, finally, we have Didi and Kelly, who don't run anymore but rather follow in a car collecting donations. These three guys are feeling pretty generous today. A good time was had by all! And now, a special message: LADIES, we love you and want to make sure you're around for a long time. Please do your self-exams and get your mammograms!
