Description

Portrait of a friend. Still have some detailing to do and tweaks to the clothing and some of the curves. Background is just for placement at the moment also. Having a lot of fun doing this. I hope to do some more. Done in Illustrator CS6.

That in itself is fine art you can polish a tabet till there is nothing left. this work is stunning and to have it over my fire place

You have a lovely friend, and you've got a really beautiful portrait going here... Splendid work.

As it stands right now, this is an excellent image I cannot wait to see what the final portrait will be as a side note: do two versions, one with this background and one with the other. I bet that all who see it will love this one better, that is unless you have a really rocking background

Had some earlier versions showing a lot of my Alphonse Mucha Influence. Though I prefer hand on board or canvas, i'm getting used to the Wacom. Hair kind of stumped me until i had an accident. I'll post the others with the final when finished. Learning some new Illustrator tricks as I go along. And yes, my model is very beautiful. Also, married and a mother of 2 beautiful girls. (sorry) She has been very patient with me. I hope to deliver her a finished piece before the holidays. I like doing these. She has some friends that may allow a shoot. (I work from my own reference.) I want to do more.

I am doing these for the joy of it. I like when there is no money involved.

Having done some portraits in Illustrator myself, i know how difficult it can be and this is an excellent portrait! Great to see a totally different style to your usual work too!

I'd like to see one. It's a different approach for me to do a portrait on the computer. Things that are intuitive to me with 2D media stump me on the computer. But learning a new way to do things is exciting!

Nice change of pace, and this is one really well done illustration. Not remotely my forte, but I can happily recognize time and talent in a piece. I look forward to seeing the final image.
