Description

The Harpies were the spirits of sudden, sharp gusts of wind. They were known as the hounds of Zeus and were dispatched by the god to snatch away people and things from the earth. Sudden, mysterious disappearances were often attributed to the Harpies. The Harpies, Celaeno, Ocypete, Podarce were the children of Thaumas and Electra. So, don't be fooled by this Harpy's seemingly dire circumstance--if you get too close to her she will snatch you and fly away, taking you to some unknown, forsaken place...(you see, the manacle around her wrist is non-functional). You got the set.....AWESOME!!!! I always get excited when I see you've uploaded an image. Oh, when I see your ART, I usually think, "I wish I had done that, (or could do that in many cases)." This is one of those images....so much spirit and pain in the harpy. Yes, I would want to free her for sure, and would be one of those whom she "grabbed" and flew off with. Thanks for the story. I didn't realize the Harpies had names. I've got to research that.....very interesting. Always a treat to come to your gallery.
