Great capture Maria. When I saw on the news that Etna had erupted I thought about you and was going to ask you if you had taken pictures. Well I am looking at the proof. The left picture looks pretty fiery. In 2007 I was up there, where the restaurants are and there are little craters all over the surface.

I found an eruption update which said that there were eruptions from two craters simultaneously. Also on the site was a great video. Of course you saw the real thing, but the video is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zMSLpRjsQI&feature=youtu.be I was enthralled at the extensive strombolian activity at the end. Beautiful captures! What an amazing thing to see from your home. Does the sound of the eruption carry to where you are? Marvelous images of Etna acting up. I hope she stays quiet now for a while.
