Description

Last February 20th, Sandra (Sandra46) posted a photo called - How to Scratch A Copper Foil. In the 1970's, I taught my wife and sons how to trace into thin sheets of copper. One of my favorite pen and ink drawings is the Praying Hands by German artist Albrecht Dürer from 1508. In secret, my sons Dana II and Drew, traced those Praying Hands into a sheet of copper, used copper tacks to put it on a block of wood, drilled 10 holes in the top of the wood and put it on my desk as a pencil holder and birthday present. Forty years later it is still one of my prized possessions. You know Dana II as (0rest4wicked) here at RR. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

Beautiful hands by Durer (they look long and graceful), equally beautiful copper plating by your children. I can even see the wrinkles on the hands and the texturing on the cloth of the sleeves! This is truly a treasure to be cherished for all time. :)
