My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Superb capture Tara. God bless.

Interesting shot! I will check his as well.
Osper
Have a seat and experience the sweet smell! Indeed interesting.

How surreal that seems: this upholstered chair and a line of dead fish. I'm sure the odor is overwhelming, not too tempting to try and sit there, eh?
jocko500
surreal looking

This is one of those photos that is truly worth 1000 words - or even 100,000,000 words... I think the vertical composition is perfect for this - it really makes a brilliant statement about the state of our environment. Another outstanding image, Tara!
Mark-David-Rogers
Dead fish never a good sign, but this is a very interesting shot, if an old timer had been asleep in the chair it would have really made it surreal..
Faemike55
I just finished commenting on Bill's POV of this chair and I have to say that with just a touch of TLC this chair will be ready for the firepit in about a weekend it is sad that poor water management has resulted in an inland sea dying but as we see, man's arrogance has destroyed something that was beautiful

Great shot Tara. I can just imagine the smell. I also wonder how long the chair has been there.
whaleman
Ha ha, the chair appears to have also died! I like the view of the water so Bill will have some stiff competition...his next!
PHELINAS
Very symbolist image dear Tara! Great photo as always! Congratulations

A super shot and different POV than Bill's!! A sad tale of man's indifference to Mother Nature.
durleybeachbum
I agree with Rod. A terrific photo, but deeply depressing.
SunriseGirl
Yes, I agree Rod was spot on with his comment. Thank you for sharing the story of this place and the images. I wonder if thousands of years from now the fossilized remains of this old chair will be found by some eager young archaeologist and hailed as a great find. Anyway, thank you for sharing your great talent for finding unique subjects and bringing them to our attention. :) Great photo.
jayfar
Very surreal and a brilliant picture Tara.
miwi
very interesting shot
Rob2753
It is a great shot and in preference I like this one slightly better as it gives the long view and makes the old chair seem even more surreal, thanks for sharing and for the info too
helanker
This chair looks even more abandoned than in Bills shot. This proves that this chair can be photographed perfectly in more than one way. I wouldnt be able to choose between yours and Bills photograph of it. They are both awesome. Means I love them both.
FredNunes
Loads of interest here! From the chair through background.... bravo! :-)
alanwilliams
bizzarely beautiful

Okay!!! this is perfect. I like this kind of photography. The unusual, out of place. I love it!!
rickclark
This is a great shot. Imagination can run with this. Rick
moochagoo
Another POV for that moody chair. Very good.
beachzz
not exactly the kind of place you'd sit and read a book and relax, is it?
debbielove
Man screws up again huh? What a shame but interesting shot. Rob
