Description
It has been some time since I made a contribution. This is made to show my newly found ways of making grass in Bryce. I first attempted to make grass from hair (with Look at my Hair), but after some attempts switched to making clumps of grass (objects) with Marvelous Designer, which is actually for making clothes....
All the grass you see in the foreground (up to the last trees) is made from these clumps. The version of the file I used for this render is version 21, indicating that I had lots of trouble (including memory issues) to make it work. Thanks to several pieces of advice from Horo and Rashad Carter at Bryce forum over at the DAZ Discussion Forum, I was finally able to get it to this state, that I like.
Posing and animals (including the lady) and their textures are all from DAZ 3d. Trees came with one of the versions of Bryce.
Rendered in Bryce at premium quality with IBL and true ambience and including some sunlight to provide shadows. Render time not too bad (at least less than one day), even with 256 rays per pixel.
I did export the render to HDR and play with Picturenaut to improve the overall feel of light (mostly brightness and contrast).
Hope you like it!

A fine scene, I just wish it was larger.Love the gently rolling hills in the background.

Thanks. I made it this size, because a larger size would take sooooooo much render time, partly due to the many instances of grass and the transparency in the leaves of the trees.
