Description

This is the Tea scene, one of the Luxrender example scenes. Rendered in Luxrender 64-Bit Windows 7 64 Bit (Non GPU Version). Rendered on a Core-i7 2600. Rendering time was about 142 hours. Around 7060 Samples per Pixel. There are a few single pixels which I am not happy with yet, especially in the middle drinking glas, but after about 142 hours I am bored by this scene and leave it as it is. Few people would be able to spot these pixels anyways. The degree of perfection is already pretty high i think. Thanks for looking.

A very realistic render, the tea even Looks like tea. But I admire your Patience. Holy Moley, 142 hours ?

Well yeah 142 hours is a lot - even for my patience. But it was on my office PC and LuxRender is pretty unagressive regarding CPU load, it never bothers you if another app is demanding CPU load, so I can work with my office apps fine while Luxrender is working in the background. So far I am pretty satisfied with LuxRender, even though I have only tested around a little bit with it.
