Description
Recently I've been searching for ways to enhance the illumination of Bryce scenes. I've found a tutorial by Necati Hakan Pamuk (http://www.bryceanworlds.com) and applied his technique and altered it a bit. The result is the upper image which uses 113 radial lights set up is a socalled 'hemisphere'. The bottom image is the same scene with only 1 radial light (just provided to show the big contrast between the two scenes). Both scenes were rendered with the 'normal' render option with antialiasing. Rendertime of the upper image was not that bad: only 18 min on a PIII 500 MHz.

Very interesting test

Please send me how you did this.... Not only does this create radiosity but ture shadows.... Normaly in bryce the shadows are rendered hard. In real life there is no such thing as a hard shadow. This enchances realism in bryce by a long shot!

Aye, we've been playing with light cages for awhile, and this is a perfect example of how powerful they can be! One thing, madsub, could you maybe try a soft-shadow version? Not necessarily with the rendering options, maybe just turn soft shadows to about 50% in the light lab? I'm interesting in seeing that one compared to these two, if you have some time...
