Description
Twin heroes are found in the traditions of a great many people from all over North and South America. Typically of miraculous birth, the twins are especially known for killing the great monsters of the ancient world, thus making the earth safe for humanity. This picture was specifically inspired by a Chumash story in which the twins were the sons of the thunder god, and were raised by their grandmother, Old Woman Momoy, who was a personification of the Datura plant.
