or long tailed skipper. this will probably be my last butterfly shot of this year since they are basically gone...but looking at the extended forecast, which they can never get right anyway...it looks like its gonna stay mild...but the bushes have basically stopped blooming. this was taken on 8 oct...when all the monarchs where around...I noticed this really different looking one...I wanted you to see the colour on the back which was best captured in this shot. I found it quite interesting compared to the other smaller skippers...this one was about the size of a smaller swallowtail. well I hope all is going well for everyone and you enjoy the rest of your day....be safe ***chills and thrills***
