They say chestnuts are very healthy, but this one looks like I better use tongs or I will conclude otherwise. Wonderful macro shot, really shows the character of it.

Is this an edible chestnut? The ones I have seen in the past have been horse chestnuts, which also have a spiky outer covering, but are not edible. This one looks much more prickly. Your photo of it is very well done. Thanks for sharing.

Een mooie focus, Martin (of hoe zeg je dat?). De look van de voorkant komt er voortreffelijk op uit. (overigens is 'My Black Hole' ('haha') zo'n paardestaart (Lisdodde). Je zou het ook 'Lisdode' kunnen noemen in dit geval, ;-))
