I've owed you some comments for a while, as you've been so kind to come to my gallery. I often don't get to half the people I want to, in several weeks, because I'm just plain slow at commenting...but I wanted to give you at least one, for now, and I'll come back for more in January. Your work is highly inventive. This is one example. I love that Hamlet and Ophelia are dressed in modern clothes, ye they still have an old feel to them. (Renaissance styles, I think.) I also like that Hamlet has similar patterns on the bottom of his gown (or pants) as Ophelia does---that gentle floral ornament flowing throughout. And your subtle humor, with the cats, Ophelia's expression (a little bit of askance mixed with a little bit of annoyance), and the way hamlet is posing like he thinks he's really important, like a model. (I like the long head.) And I like that Hamlet's holding the skull and pointing to something outside the scene, which seems to be how Hamlet is in many situations in the play. Very well done, imaginative, and subtle as well, and technically well executed as well. I'll return for more after the holidays, but you do fine work and very varied as well. Happy New Year!
