Description

I would love to have been down there with them... but I have never been in a kayak. I'm afraid I'd tip it over, or some creature from the deep would . lol. I took this shot from my balcony, while the people down in the kayaks were taking pictures of the ship. (I was quite envious of their lenses).

Well, like I always say, there's nothing like tipping over from a kayak into ice cold waters. That might really ruin your day. That said, neat shot of the kayakers amidst all of that broken ice from the glacier, Melinda.

Not to worry, the first thing you learn in a kayak is how to tip it over AND bring it back up! I don't think I would be taking any good camera gear in a kayak unless it was in a case.

I agree with Whaleman about the camera and like you I don't fancy being in a kayak and certainly not in water as cold as that !, lovely shot

Great capture. I wouldn't worry about the creatures of the deep, I would worry about freezing to death. Is this in Tracy Arm?

Yes this was in the Tracy Arm. The kayakers were able to get an even closer view of the glacier and icebergs floating around.
