Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

Your 'little' present comes out great by your postwork, Andrea. Hip, hip, hurray for Bill!

Bill saw this from across the room (it's a very small room, so he got a good look) and said in a sort of starry-eyed voice, "that's a Morgan." So even before he's visited your gallery, I can tell you he likes this very much. :) Terrific shot, and a perfect choice!

Beautiful car and shot.

One of many classics built by the Morgan Motor Company. This is a beauty and has all of the features of a pure British sportscar...particularly the cutdown doors, smooth rolling fenders, low windshield, wire wheels. I have owned an Austin Healey 3000 and two Triumphs (back in the 60s). A Morgan and a Jaguar have always been a bit beyond my means...but I can look and wish:) I just had to go back and read the latest wiki about what's going on at Morgan. Ooooo, the workers and many of the stockholders are unhappy. The flamboyant grandson of the founder of the company has been sacked from the company's board. This is the first time since the company was founded in 1910 that no Morgan family member remains as a director... Thanks for the double dose of kindness. The Queen and me huh,...love it.

Someone once wrote that British cars were built by sadists for masochists. I have owned a Morris Minor, Triumph Spitfire and an MGA. They kept me broke for years but British cars are the most charismatic in my opinion. The Morgan was an early fantasy of mine but, like Bill, always financially out of reach. A beautiful image and dedication for Bill.

A real classic car in excellent condition, and a fine capture showing it off so well... great discovery and capture.

Super shot of the highly desired Morgan automobile for Bill's birthday commemoration. When I saw the title, I thought you were referring to the following: Sir Henry Morgan (Harri Morgan in Welsh; ca. 1635 – 25 August 1688) was a Welsh privateer, pirate and admiral of the English Royal Navy, who made a name for himself during activities in the Caribbean, primarily raiding Spanish settlements. He earned a reputation as one of the most notorious and successful privateers in history, and one of the most ruthless among those active along the Spanish Main. Source: Wikipedia encyclopedia.

Just like your other post of the vintage caliber kind: 'Apres L'Ondee' - this would go well together, expensive cars - expensive perfumes ... and here @ Rendo, we can give each other all those gifts and be happy ! I like it here !!! LOL BB

The Morgan is a wonderful old choice, and happily I can say I have ridden in one all over Vancouver...over fifty years ago! Rats, am I that old?
