very nice scene. Its an odd combination of instruments though. But progress does not result from the known but from the unconventional. Just a little thing. I would have suggested to do a little contrast postwork in Photoshop or similar progs to break the slightly misty layer.

Thanks for the comment and suggestions. It's really appreciated. The odd combination of instruments was entirely deliberate. It was meant to express an exchange between the East and West, as the two seek to work towards an understanding and even appreciation of each other. A Grand Harmony of different cultures coexisting in unison like the different sounds in a work of music. ;)

This is a very nice image, all the more so by the way the main characters are positioned center and left of center. I am not sure why that works so well with this image, but it certainly does.... I read somewhere once, that one of the strange phenomena of our age is that while our western technology is flowing into the East, Eastern philosophy is quietly seeping into the West.

Thanks for your kind comment. I believe the secret here is ASYMMETRY; as in the left and right sides of the image being different in composition, lighting etc. A symmetrical image can still look nice, but I think it will not feel natural. If one aims for a scene with a natural feel it should not be too symmetrical. Dunno how sound an explanation this would be. What do you think? :)

nice scene with a darker foreground for depth. Beautiful mix of a barbarian and an asian bard (clothes suggest that)

Great image - but a touch of contrast would improve it. Nice work!
