Description


This is the Parish Church of St. Peter & St. Pauls in the village of Drax, North Yorkshire. Dedicated in 1135 AD The weather is now a distant memory this was taken in October 2013 and since then we have had rain and overcast skies for the most part. As with other church shots I have taken it has it's fair share of grave subsidence as you can see from the cross in the foreground. Peter and Paul = Holiday g blessed light on old walls! looks marvelous against the green of the grass! hm..why is the cross not straight? are there moles? and beside the church, is it an outside coffin? 2 deads in 878 years! ;o)

Funny you mentioned the weather...my immediate thought when I saw this was that you were leading a charmed life weather-wise. Love the old stone churches of the English countryside...so much history. Fine photo.
