Hi Mandi, I'll leave you a real comment soon---but I wanted to wish you everything good in the world with your exhibit, and any future exhibits you may have. You deserve any attention you seek, your work is superbly inventive, intelligent, remarkably broad, with a very broad synthesis of so many strains of history, culture, art, etc, and just plain visually exciting and beautiful. This piece is a delight, and I'll leave you a longer comment soon, but I saw your present upload, realized I'd never said a word when you announced your show, and wanted to say it now before another day passed. Re my absences, I'm not only very slow at each comment, but I get interrupted many times (by my life), and frankly I just lose track of who I haven't commented on, and will neglect a whole group of my favorite artists, several times a year. But when I realized, once more, that I hadn't commented here in some time, I put aside your URL (to your gallery here) and I'll be back to comment before the season is over. But congratulations on your exhibit! I studied "the interrelation of the arts" (a real interdisciplinary title if ever there was one) in my college and grad years, and I was a grad student in "Cultural History," which we used to call "the catch-all department" (among many where I went to grad school). But the point is, for all my trips and falls in cultural studies, I developed a great appreciation of artists who do stunning work with history, culture and of course art; and who make, at the same time, wonderful and creative works of art. You're all those things. So congratulations, and I hope you have more deserved attention where that came from. I'll be back for comments soon (I've got the URL here, I won't miss it...) Have a great rest of November!
