UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

There is still beauty in that old steel.

...and I remember seeing some of them still rolling during the 1950s. Well made and solid little trucks. A nice memento of them. The point of view lifts the little fellow up a bit as it looks towards the setting sun and a future that is long past. Good work! Keep it up! :-)

I could go on the knee before this car LOL and I'm so sorry that it lacks a "Eye". Old scrap cars simply arouse my nostalgic vein. The perspective is great!

The shiny headlamp is in such contrast to the state of the rest of the truck and very hard to believe it's 78 years old!! love the POV really gives this image so much more impact, excellent work Bill

Love this !! There is an old farm up the road from me with a barn that is falling in and an old car or truck I am not sure its that covered in vines or something but I say this everytime I go by that I need to stop and ask permission or just get brave and walk out there before the place falls completely down. I remember this story from one of my photography teachers that he use to see a barn every day on his way to work always meant to get to it so one day he packs up his gear and heads there and ITS GONE so I better keep his story and get over there very soon

Great POV, color and lighting effects in this shot of the very old timer, deteriorating away in the desert. A super locale for taking innumerable fotos of these long gone vehicles.

My goodness! What an oldie! I wish I were skilled enough to revamp this beauty! :) Interesting find, to say the least! Wonderful sky in the background too! What a beautiful, crisp and clear blue sky!

A wonderful shot, Bill! Someone was really proud of that truck many years ago.. Wonder if her one remaining headlight still works... Beautiful textures - even in her decay, she looks proud.
