In honor of my Grand-Father, George Roscoe Kishpaugh, on Veterans Day. George Roscoe Kishpaugh Born May 23, 1918 in Newton, NJ - He died Feb. 13, 1977 in Millville, NJ Highest grade completed - 7 Started active service for the U.S. Army Dec. 16, 1942 Honorably Discharged Dec. 27, 1945 He served as a medical technician in World War II in Bertrichamps, France and served with the 397th Infantry his decorations & citations included .. American Theater Ribbon European African Middle Eastern Ribbon Good Conduct Medal Purple Heart Victory Medal The Medical Badge His greatest love outside of family was fishing and being on the water with his boat, although he could not swim. Most of the boats he owned were named ‘Jolene’ for his daughters. He loved music and played both the mandolin and violin.

my family being made up of men in the military on my mothers side, 7 uncles served in the united states army. 5 of them gave their lives in WWII. I salute them, and your Grandfather as well as our service men and women from then and of today. thank you for sharing this with us.

Thanks Krouser; Sometimes these days it amazes me that there are people out there who can be so disparaging of the military men and women who fight and die every day for our freedom's. Bless your family also, your 5 uncles who gave their lives and the ones who survived.

My dad served in WWII as a truck driver in France. My hats is off to all vets.. and certainly your grandfather for his service and devotion to country and family.

My grandfathers were in concentration camps. The father of my mother in Birma, the father of my father in NL.. but he escaped. Both got very old ... one died in 1986 at age 96, the other in 1986 at age 104
