Description

Wanted to get this shot sooner while some of the African Violets were at their peak, but I was waiting for the middle back plant to have at least one flower--it was such a slow poke--buds just took their own little time to mature. All these plants I started from cuttings and never really were consistent bloomers. But, now that I am retired, I can give them the time and care they need--looks like it's paying off since this is the first time all have blooms at the same time... I have two more plants in the "nursery." I think at this point, I will stop generating more plants... Thanks for the peek :)

My grandmother grew African violets. She had a tall stand just full of them. She nurtured them so carefully, as they are indeed tricky. I kept trying to grow one, but they always rotted at the base....something about too much water? I can grow almost anything outdoors, but indoor plants elude me. You must have a green thumb, because these are just lovely. I'm impressed....
