Description

Here I am mapping the mods required to turn Bazze's Me-109 into an S-199 so that I can make scenes depicting the early days of the IAF.

Since all the rigging was destroyed in the transfer to and from Hexagon, and I have no intention or skill to rig this for animation, I probably should not have to worry about mapping many of the small parts in the last panel which will not show anyway. But this mod will never be able to use the original texture maps again because my mapping is radically different from the original.

The Irony of history, is that this must be ONE of the very few times that a German Messerschmidt won a battle against a British Spitfire!! And it was a Jew who did it!! Makes me proud to be an Israeli!!! PS: Viva La France as per the Iranian Nuclear Geneva Talks!!!

I would not mind if my own country cooled off a little on the nuclear weapons. Fukishima and Chernoble should be sending a message to folks about how we cannot control nuclear power as we should. Anyway a scene or two should be brewing soon. I also have to do an Egyptian texture for the DC-3 if I want to depict Modi Alon's famous appointment with history. IIRC the IAF also flew Spitfires in the early days and I intend to use some in scenes.

The Spitfires came later! 1st came the Messerschmidt! -and I still say that it is one of history's great ironies!!!

Well, German Messerschmitts won a lot of battles against Spitfires in the BoB. ;-) Interesting project. Do you map it with Hexagon? Now I am curious to see the image. :-)

I cannot grok the Hexagon mapping. I pretty much map with UV Mapper Pro. I should have an image out before Christmas....LOL I am not a fast worker.
