Description

Eris was the goddess or spirit (daimona) of strife, discord, contention and rivalry. She was often represented specifically as the daimon of the strife of war, who haunted the battlefield and delighted in human bloodshed. Because of Eris' disagreeable nature she was the only goddess not to be invited to the wedding of Peleus and Thetis. When she turned up anyway, she was refused admittance and, in a rage, threw a golden apple amongst the goddesses inscribed "To the fairest." Three goddesses laid claim it, and in their rivalry brought about the events which led to the Trojan War. Eris was closely identified with the war-goddess Enyo. Indeed Homer uses the names interchangeably. Her Roman name was Discordia.

Oh...you got the wings. Aren't they great. This is a fantastic image....love all the action and colors and then those gorgeous wings spread across it....just very visually stimulating. The story is nice to have with the image...makes it even more meaningful. GREAT WORK!!!!!!

OMG I knew her and dated her for a while back in the 90's. Kinda fun at first but then her attitude got to be a real turn-off. Wonderful work. You really portrayed this character in a fine way. Excellent work.
